Mobile, Internet and security expert Allen Scott joins one of Scotland’s most exciting creative companies.
Cojengo, widely publicised on Africa’s top 10 start-up list for 2015 and innovators in the mHealth market, has appointed Allen Scott as non-executive director.
Allen brings over twenty years’ experience at the cutting edge of IT, in the software, media, mobile operator and telecommunications space. Securing the appointment of such a high profile figure in the IT industry to complement the existing leadership team will take Cojengo to the next level.

Alongside his role at F-Secure, where Allen is the managing director for the UK and Ireland, the combination of his bold style and industry expertise is helping position Cojengo itself as a world changing organisation, delivering an alternative approach to saving animals in the developing world.
Allen has held executive, board level and founding positions at a number of global public IT and telecoms, and start-up companies. Allen pioneered the world’s leading mobile instant messaging solutions with FolloWap (acquired by NeuStar for $139m) and then went on to IMI Mobile Europe where he was head of sales. Allen’s other previous roles include Gridpoint, Ecom, Vivao, Emblaze, Vodafone Global, AT&T and Novell. Allen also co-founded Edgeforce which has helped many companies of all sizes to shape their go to market and sales strategy. Allen consistently overachieves and has been involved in a number of industry firsts which include creating the first “legal” indirect software and hardware channel in Eastern Europe, enabling the first mass market deployment of mobile instant messaging and first deployments of mobile video streaming.
